Call the Cops, ‘Cuz Today’s Winning Paris Hilton Captions Are Criminal(ly Good)

Paris Hilton & Nicky Hilton Arriving at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

The good news is that the world shall soon be blessed with new Paris Hilton music (ICYMI), which is amazing because literally every person who ever lived, who currently lives, and who will ever live loved her first album, 2008 s Paris, which featured #1 (in our hearts) hit single, “Stars Are Blind.” She should probably be arrested for how good that album was, because no one is legally allowed to make music that good. In other good news, today’s winning captions are right after the jump.

“is this the only officer they could find” – T’omar

“You were right, they’re taking pictures.” – Maja

“Just calling to tell you i’m hotter, richer and more famous than you, bitch” – Sebastian

” Hi daddy, im on my way to jail. Can you make sure they have my cell cleaned and ready for me ?” – Karen

“Yep…that’s right bitches, I’m strutting my stuff……..with Paris Hilton by my side!!!” – Bijana

Congrats to our winners! Visit our Facebook page for a new Caption Contest each and every weekday!

‘The Railway Man’ Trailer: Colin Firth Confronts His World War II Demons

Lionsgate Films releases the first trailer for 'The Railway Man.'

Lionsgate has released a trailer for The Railway Man, the Nicole Kidman/Colin Firth-starring film based on the autobiography of the same name by Eric Lomax.

Firth plays a former World War II PoW who, with help from his wife (Kidman) and best friend (Stellan Skarsgard), confronts his former torturer.

The film just premiered to somewhat mixed reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival. While The Guardian‘s Catherine Shoard praised Firth’s “performance of immense emotional complexity,” The Hollywood Reporter‘s David Rooney called it “plodding” and “poorly-structured.” As with many films premiering at film festivals, The Railway Man doesn’t yet have a U.S. distributor and, therefore, there’s no word on a release date.

However, given the film’s stars and its grim subject, expect some studio to gobble this up as an Oscar hopeful. However it remains to be seen if Firth will be as successful playing someone who fought in World War II as he was playing someone who gave a speech about it.

John Mayer Steals Katy Perry’s Self-Promotional Semi Truck Idea

Katy Perry made a memorable statement in late July when an golden semi truck emblazoned with the title and release date – Prism, October 22 – of her upcoming album took a spin through the streets of Los Angeles.

Now her beau John Mayer is following in her tracks, quite literally.

Though his album, Paradise Valley, is already out, Mayer is promoting the South American leg of his tour with a similar semi – plastered with the album’s art, a photo of Mayer standing alone in a dreary, desolate valley, mountains rising up in the distance.

“Off this week and then next up is South America!! Are you ready for JM??” he wrote, posting a photo of the truck on Facebook. Then he threw in the hashtag #MAYERISBACK.

Will Mayer also “ride” around in the big-rig, a la Perry? Will his truck get bumped up in a Walmart parking lot, too? Will he then pop out when he arrives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for his next show?

So many questions, so few answers.

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake Team Up for the Evolution of End-Zone Dancing

Just in time for the start of the 2013 NFL season, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake have a little football lesson for you.

The fellas teamed up on last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to break down the evolution of end-zone dancing – you know, the craze where players celebrate a touchdown.

They start with classics like the “Ickey Shuffle,” “Tebowing” and the “Dirty Bird,” before getting creative with some made-up moves, like the “Manti Te’o on a Date,” the “Taking A Selfie,” and the “Old-Timey Railraod Car.”

Watch Fallon – who has also taught America about dad dancing and mom dancing – and Timberlake bust a move, above and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

15 Most Charismatic Frontmen Of All Time

Steven Tyler1

To be a great frontman you must possess a commanding presence. As Quentin Crisp rightly put it, charisma is “the ability to influence without logic.”

People often get confused between what makes a great frontman and what makes a charismatic frontman. Lou Reed, Alex Turner, Ian Curtis, Brandon Flowers and Liam Gallagher are all amazing frontman but to label them ‘charismatic’ is something totally different. There may be some names you don’t agree with, some you’re surprised are in there or perhaps you’ll end up swearing at your laptop screen because Bruce Dickinson and Randy Blythe weren’t listed: this isn’t a Metal list by any means. Nor is it a list that favours pure Indie. It’s a collection of 15 frontmen from all eras of popular culture, neatly gathered in one place for your entertainment.

15. Brian Molko

Brian Molko

The Brian Molko is often overlooked in lists such as this, but ever since Placebo stepped into the limelight with their breakthrough record Nancy Boy, audiences globally have been intrigued by Brian’s androgynous outer appearance and rebellious character. It has to be said that he possesses one of the most distinctive voices in alternative rock/goth rock/post-punk/whatever you want to label it, or music in general for that matter.

Brian has stated that his notably goth-inspired look of fashioning black nail polish, eyeliner and lipstick is a way of transporting fans into an alternative reality.

You’d be right in thinking Molko had a tough time growing up, for if it wasn’t for his father at home disapproving of his artistic demeanour it was the relentless bullying he faced at school, which is the reason Placebo’s band manifesto is ‘by outsiders, for outsiders.’ With the 2013 release of Loud Like Love, their seventh studio album, Molko’s enigmatic eccentricities beguile audiences even today.

Game Of Thrones: 12 Sickening Moments Almost Too Disgusting For TV

Game Of Thrones certainly wouldn’t have worked ten years ago. On a simplistic level the series wasn’t developed enough; only three of the books (out of five now published and two more still to come) had been released, meaning the show would have little content beyond what will be our fourth series. But, more importantly, the TV landscape was a very different place. Peter Jackson had made high fantasy cool with his epic Lord Of The Rings series, so in theory this more medieval take wouldn’t have been a hard sell. But with Lost yet to capitalise on The X-Files’ success and kick more fantastical TV into the mainstream, it was either for kids or a part of our own world. And that’s not even touching on HBO, whose major shows, The Sopranos and The Wire, were gritty, crime-filled and yet to make massive waves.

Ultimately, however, Game Of Thrones wouldn’t have worked because so much of the content of George R.R. Martin’s source would have simply not been deemed acceptable in the past, if not by censors then by easily-shocked critics. Even today events like The Red Wedding, which were pretty restrained compared to some of the show’s goriest moments, still managed to cause a minor, Daily Mail-fuelled uproar, almost proving that now is the earliest we can get away with having the show.

To highlight this point, here are twelve moments from Game Of Thrones first three seasons that really push the limits of what can be shown on our television screens. There’s plenty of other moments that could have made it onto this list, but in order to keep it down to a readable length I stuck to the ones that really resonated with me.

Spoilers obviously abound from the very start…

WWE: 10 Superstars Who Desperately Need A Heel Or Face Turn

In the run up to Wrestlemania 30, it is important that the WWE has all of its talent well positioned as characters. Now is the time that WWE performers need to be at their very best, as WWE bosses decide on who will get the top Mania spots. For some wrestlers in WWE the best way to freshen up their performance would be a well placed heel turn or face turn.

We saw this happen on Monday Night Raw this week, The Miz turning heel on tag partner Kofi Kingston by leaving him to get beat up in the ring. The character refresh instantly added some much needed relevancy to The Miz as a performer. A face turn can also benefit a character. Take a look at Batista as a classic example. He was the dull uninspiring bodyguard to Triple H in 2004 s Evolution stable. When he eventually turned face on his bullying boss it catapulted Batista into being one of the biggest WWE stars of the 2000s.

A heel or face turn is one of the very best things that can happen to a WWE talent who is struggling to find relevancy. Here we look at Ten WWE superstars who need a heel or face turn…

Is Sebastian Vettel A Genius Or Just Lucky?

Four time World Champion and endless records broken in the sport of Formula One.

Sebastian Vettel has done just that and has done it well.

The Red Bull driver has been unstoppable since 2010 and has even made Mark Webber, his team member, look merely average on most occasions. So why is he disliked? He has done the unthinkable and if he continues at this rate, is sure to beat Michael Schumacher’s 7 World titles. For me, Sebastian represents what Formula One is all about. He is a winner and whilst he has won ever race on the calendar, he still gets up every day and wants to win more. That in itself, shows a true champion.

We only have to watch his interview on Top Gear to know that Vettel is a down to Earth guy who just wants to be liked. The response he received from audiences after recent races was truly disgusting and they cannot be regarded as Formula One fans. If Lewis Hamilton won as much as Vettel did, he would get a completely different welcome from the fans. Vettel is, and will always be, a champion which has won not just because he has the fastest car on the grid. If this was the case, Mark Webber would be the 4 Time World Champion.

The team radio after the US Grand Prix last weekend just gave a little insight into what winning 8 consecutive races meant for Vettel. He clearly is a man who loves the sport. Again, we should not abuse or fight against this. Of course there have been times when Sebastian hasn’t made it particularly easy for himself. Comments made about other drivers and team’s work ethic did not go unnoticed at a time when he should have been trying to appease the fans.

When the new regulations are enforced next year, we will get a better picture of what Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel are all about. If it comes to light that Red Bull are not the quickest team next year, and Vettel continues to dominate, then there can be no reason to produce this level of negativity towards him. Up until now, it can be argued that Vettel only has to push to a certain limit as the car has done most of the work. Next year things will be different and I won’t be surprised if Sebastian is still at the front of the grid, once again.

I think it’s time for everyone to give Vettel a break. There will be another World Champion some day. The streak of Vettel will not go on forever, but we should embrace it whilst it lasts.
