Eminem Kicks It Old School In New ‘Berzerk’ Music Video

Guess who’s back? Shady’s back. And this time he brought Kid Rock and Kendrick Lamar with him.

Eminem released the official music video for his first Marshall Mathers LP 2 single, “Berzerk,” and the result is a Beastie Boys-inspired hodgepodge of Detroit pride, giant boomboxes, and grainy Billy Squier concert clips. (Em samples the rocker’s song “The Stroke” in the track.)

Rapper-of-the-moment Kendrick Lamar, Michigan enthusiast Kid Rock, and bearded mega music producer Rick Rubin all make cameos.

Like the song says, Em “brings it back to that vintage Slim,” rocking his signature crisp white tee while rapping into ’90s music video staple, the fisheye lens.

He also reps his hometown in a Detroit Pistons shirt and beanie in front of a multicolored infrared background a la 1992 s Beasties classic “So What Cha Want” clip.

Eminem teased his new video on ESPN on Saturday when he stopped by their studios for a very awkward interview.

His upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, will be released on November 5th. In the meantime, lose yourself in his latest music video, above. Check out the song’s lyrics on Directlyrics.
