Bruno Mars will attempt to pull off a Beyonce at the Super Bowl halftime show in February.
A person “familiar” with the NFL’s entertainment plans told The Associated Press on Saturday that Mars has been hired for the job.
An official announcement is expected to be made in New York on Sunday.
If the news is true, Mars will have some big shoes to fill. Here’s a flashback of Queen Bey’s epic performance:
Mars, 27, recently wrapped the North American leg of his Moonshine Jungle Tour. The “Treasure” singer is scheduled to take on Europe in October before heading to Australia and New Zealand next spring.
Super Bowl XLVIII (that’s 48) is scheduled for Feb. 2, 2014 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
