Charlie Sheen says the media outlet that’s reporting he had Zac Efron over for drug-fueled parties is totally making it up.
Sheen tells TMZ … he hasn’t even seen Zac for nearly a year … specifically when Efron showed up to the set of “Anger Management” 11 months ago. Charlie says he showed up not to see him … Zac was there because they share the same publicist who happened to be on the set.
The report claims Zac visited the set at least a dozen times. Charlie says it’s all made up … Zac was there that one time only.
As for the claim Zac spent a lot of time partying at Charlie’s house and then strongly insinuating they were on cocaine binges … Charlie says, “ridiculous.” Sheen says Zac was at his home a grand total of one time — nearly 2 years ago for a Super Bowl party. The next time Charlie saw Zac was when he visited the set 11 months ago.
Charlie is also angry the report claims he’s on an uncontrollable cocaine binge. He says, “Consider the fact that I have completed 54 episodes of ‘Anger Management’ in a little more than a year … something that would ordinarily take more than 3 years to accomplish.”
Charlie calls the news outlet “adrift and unsalvageable.”
Bethenny Frankel and soon-to-be ex-hubby Jason Hoppy can’t pull a Watergate on each other anymore, because a judge has now prohibited them from secretly recording each other … and for good reason.
Sources connected to the former couple tell TMZ … since their separation, Jason has secretly recorded Bethenny on both video and audio. What’s more … we’re told he also recorded their nanny and the Skinny Girl staff, working out of Bethenny’s home-office. And, we’re told Jason has gotten into the emails of Bethenny and her staff.
Our sources say the recordings don’t go both ways — Bethenny has never recorded Jason.
TMZ has learned … the judge has ordered both Jason and Bethenny NOT use tape recorders, cell phones or computers to record each other. They’re also prohibited from recording the nanny. And they’re prohibited from intercepting emails.
We’ve learned the judge ordered Bethenny and Jason to ante up any video or audio recordings by October 15. That should be interesting.
Anyone miss Nixon?
Simon Pegg is to play an assassin in a new Australian movie featuring Liam and Chris Hemsworth’s brother Luke.
Kill Me Three Times will also include Alice Braga, Teresa Palmer and Bryan Brown among the cast.
Principal photography begins this week (ends20Sep13) in and around Perth and the southwest region of Western Australia.
The movie is set in “a sun-drenched Australian surfing town, where a young singer, portrayed by Alice Braga, is the thread that binds three tales of murder, blackmail and revenge”.
Pegg’s assassin is hired by the wealthy husband of Braga’s character, and Aussie movie veteran Brown plays a corrupt local cop. Luke Hemsworth portrays Braga’s love interest.
Filmmaker Randall Miller’s Cbgb biopic and Green Day star Billie Joe Armstrong’s documentary Broadway Idiot will headline this year’s (13) CBGB Film Festival in New York.
The two movies will launch the five-day event on 9 October (13), a week after CBGB’s premiere in Los Angeles. The film follows the story of Hilly Kristal’s fabled New York club from its conception as a venue for Country, Bluegrass and Blues (CBGB) to what it ultimately became – the birthplace of underground rock ‘n roll and punk.
It features Malin Akerman as Blondie singer Debbie Harry, Alan Rickman as Kristal and Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop.
This year’s CBGB Film Festival will also feature movies and documentaries about Husker Du star Grant Hart, Killing Joke, post-punk/funk band E.S.G. and London punk icon Bruno Wizard.
Two worlds are colliding.
Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen recently designed a whole line of bridal swimwear (yes, that’s apparently a thing), so naturally only another SI vixen is skilled enough to model her bikinis. Enter Kate Upton.
The two-time cover girl graces Beach Bunny’s latest ad campaign decked out in frilly swimsuits and skimpy two-pieces that has “bride” printed on the bottom.
“I want to wear a bathing suit for my husband that makes me feel sexy. I know other women feel the same way, so I was inspired to design a line,” Teigen tells PEOPLE of her collection, which was conceived when the 27-year-old was planning her upcoming honeymoon in the Maldives with fiance John Legend.
“While the swimwear had to be eye-popping as well as functional for honeymoon travel, it also needed to stand apart from other styles on the beach,” she says “So we added a little humor!”
According Teigen, whose line will hit stores September, the designs will include Swarovski crystals and Chantilly lace from France.
But don’t worry about not being able to see the bride-to-be in her own bikini: designing aside, Teigen also modeled some of the pieces herself.
With everyone all up in arms over Miley Cyrus’ new party anthem “We Can’t Stop” and its subsequent twerk-happy video, a sensitive reporter for MTV News decided to probe fellow-Disney alum and former party girl Demi Lovato to get her thoughts on the controversy.
“I think it’s a good song. She knows how I feel about the whole partying thing,” Lovato said during a recent interview.
The 20-year-old singer, who in 2010 completed a highly publicized stint in rehab for drugs and other issues, continued:
I care for her so much that I’m, like, so protective. But she’s good. She’s got a good head on her shoulders. It’s a song that a lot of people have fun to, and if people are enjoying it, then great.
“I love her to death,” she added a bit earlier. “And I’m always like, ‘Just be careful.’ And she’s like, ‘Dude, I’m chilling. It’s fine.'”
Well, in that case.
Jay Z is still on top.
Nielsen SoundScan’s latest numbers have placed the rapper’s 12th studio album, Magna Carta… Holy Grail on top of the Billboard 200 charts for the second week in a row, beating Sara Bareilles‘ The Blessed Unrest, which sold 68,000 copies domestically. [via MTV]
In third place is children’s album Kidz Bop 24 – the 24th edition of child-friendly covers of pop songs like Taylor Swift‘s “I Knew You Were Trouble,” Selena Gomez‘s “Come & Get It” and Justin Timberlake‘s “Mirrors.”
Despite being on top of the charts, Magna Carta‘s second week performance (129,000 copies) is a 76 percent drop from its official debut week. The 658,000 copies Hova has sold so far does not include the units distributed by Samsung and its nifty app days before the album hit stores and iTunes.
Jay Z and JT recently kicked off their Legends of the Summer stadium tour. The duo is scheduled to play in San Francisco on Friday, before dropping by Pasadena, Calif. and Vancouver, Canada to wrap the month. August dates include stops in Detroit, Boston and Philadelphia.
Some combinations feel simply inevitable. Peanut butter and jelly. Oreos and milk. Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill. Scratch that last one. Finally College Humor has put Aubrey Plaza and Daria Morgendorffer together.
In this (sadly, fake) trailer for a live-action Daria movie, Daria returns to Lawndale for her high school reunion. From the hair, to the glasses, to the green jacket, to the bubbling personality, Aubrey Plaza nails Daria. She was born to play this role.
Who do I need to call to get this movie made? Is there a President of Movies? This is what we should be using Kickstarter for.
Not that we need more proof that Jennifer Lawrence is the most down-to-earth, most endearing and grounded celebrity out there, but we couldn’t pass on the Oscar winner’s latest meet-and-greet with a fellow famous person.
J-Law lost her sh*t when she ran into Jeff Bridges last weekend during an Extra interview at Comic-Con in San Diego. Of course, the camera gods worked their magic so that the rest of us could gush in the adorableness that is Jennifer Lawrence giggling like a fangirl and apologizing to The Dude.
(Skip to 2:30 for the golden moment).
Of course, this isn’t the first time Lawrence, 22, has lost it over meeting someone in Hollywood. Remember when Jack Nicholson briefly joined her at a post-Academy Awards interview, and well, flirted with her?
To conclude, here’s how to react when meeting celebrities, according to Jennifer Lawrence.
1. Pretend to run away. (This is how they’ll notice you).
2. Praise them. Make them feel like the coolest person in the room.
3. Giggle. A lot.
4. Use gigantic facial expressions.
5. Act totally surprised, even if you’re a fellow famous person.
Never change, J-Law, never change.
