In another lawsuit, Chris Brown and Drake-whose entourages were said to have started the shocking club brawl that took place at the W.i.P. hotspot in New York last June 14 allegedly over the rappers’ common ex, Rihanna-are being sued.
The brawl has caused a flurry of suits, mostly from the innocent club goers who blamed the rappers and the club for negligence and their bloody injuries from the bottles thrown around during the fight.
But now the club-which has since been closed down-has fired back… and they’ve zeroed in on Chris and Drake.
According to The New York Post, the documents filed by club’s company, Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., stated:
“[Chris and Drake] shared a grudge against the other arising out of their romantic relationships with the same woman.”
It also claimed that when the rappers crossed paths, they “began to fight violently with each other.”
“Each arrived with his own small army of bodyguards, ‘security’ personnel, employees, friends and other members of their entourage consisting of at least 15 heavily built men trained and/or experienced in hand-to-hand and weapons combat. [They] fashioned deadly weapons out of whatever materials they could find, including glasses, alcohol bottles and furniture.”
Then, EEL stated that a “violent brawl on a massive scale” ensued next with a lot of “flying glass shrapnel,” causing “terrorized patrons” to run for cover and use “banquettes and tables as improvised shields.
They were also aware that “most were unable to protect themselves,” including Tony Parker, who is suing them for $20 million for his bad eye injury.
Interestingly, they are suing for a whopping $16 million for “gross negligence,” “ultrahazardous activity” and “intentional illegal acts”… and for costing them a previously struck $4 million licensing deal, which they lost because of the bad publicity after the incident.
The suit finished up by saying that both Chris and Drake “should have foreseen that their notoriety and celebrity would ensure that their acts had far-reaching and devastating effects.”
No word yet from the rappers.
What do you think of the new lawsuit?
