Naomi Watts went out of her comfort zone and was more “ballsy” to hit on her longtime boyfriend Liev Schreiber.
The Diana actress and her actor beau have been together since 2005, but if it wasn’t for Watts having the confidence to make the first move, the two may have never been an item.
In an interview with Allure magazine, Watts describes the first time they met, which was at the lavish Met Gala held every year in New York City.
She admits, “It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be. Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn’t. Then he got up to say he was leaving and I was like, ‘Oh s**t. Probably another couple years are going to pass by.'”
The Australian beauty decided to take matters into her own hands, adding, “I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out. I said, ‘Don’t you want my digits?’ Because I couldn’t possibly say, ‘Would you like my phone number?’
“It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, ‘Would you like to go for a drink now?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.'”
Watts and Schreiber have two sons together, Alexander, six, and Samuel, four.
Pregnant actress Teresa Palmer has stripped off to flaunt her growing baby belly for a new magazine cover.
The Warm Bodies star, 27, has posed in her black bra and panties for Australia’s Who magazine for its The Body Issue, and in the accompanying interview, the blonde beauty admits she’s embracing her expanding figure after years of fussing over her weight and diet.
She says, “I was exercising so much, and I just wasn’t nourishing my body in the right way. I used to be incredibly militant about the food that I ate. I looked great on the outside, but I wasn’t healthy on the inside. To think that three years ago I was in this place where I was so skinny that I couldn’t have gotten pregnant if I tried.”
The mum-to-be became engaged to actor Mark Webber in August (13) and the couple announced its pregnancy days later.
Palmer isn’t the first star to pose for a photoshoot while pregnant – Demi Moore famously went nude for her revealing Vanity Fair cover in 1991, while Jessica Simpson bared all for Elle magazine as she carried her first child last year (12).

Norman Winter, a publicist who represented music icons including Michael Jackson and Bob Dylan, has died.
Winter passed away on Thursday (22Aug13) in Las Vegas due to complications from Lewy Body disease. His family declined to reveal his age, but he was believed to have been in his 80s.
He worked closely with the King of Pop to promote his legendary Thriller album, and also helped Jackson acquire some of the The Beatles’ song catalogue and negotiate his endorsements with Pepsi.
Throughout his career, Winter also worked with a whole host of music greats such as Neil Diamond, Dr. Dre, Garth Brooks, Paul Anka, Queen, Barry White, AC/DC, Marvin Gaye, Usher, Billy Joel, and Jackson’s sister Janet.
Jackson’s longtime attorney John Branca says, “We are so sad to hear of the passing of our dear friend Norman Winter. Norman was a unique, one of a kind character who was dearly beloved. He was of great help and service to Michael and our team during the Thriller period.”
Winter is survived by his wife Joy, daughters Jennifer and Elizabeth and brother Alfred, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Actresses Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo thought the director of their monster movie was playing a joke on them when he told them he was changing the title to Sharknado.
The film, about a freak storm which scoops up man-eating sharks in tornadoes and deposits them in cities, became an unlikely phenomenon after it aired on TV in America on Thursday (11Jul13), taking Twitter by storm and earning a legion of fans.
However, Bring It On star Scerbo has revealed the film was originally called Dark Skies, but had be changed after a horror movie of the same name hit cinemas in February (13), and she thought director Anthony C. Ferrante was joking when he told them the new title.
She tells The Hollywood Reporter, “When our director Anthony Ferrante came on set and was like, ‘Guys, we think we have to change the title. We’re thinking about Sharknado.’ We actually thought it was a joke. We were like, ‘Haha, that’s funny.’
“He was like, ‘No, I’m serious.’ We were dying. ‘There’s no way!’…
“We were like, ‘This is ridiculous and embarrassing.’ He was like, ‘Just you wait, this name will actually do so much for the project.’ We were like, ‘All right, whatever!'”
Scerbo admits she was stunned by the film’s instant success, adding, “It’s trending (on Twitter) for more than 24 hours. I can’t even believe it… I’m completely stunned and blown away. This funny little film we did called Sharknado has caused so much buzz, I would have never imagined. It’s literally caused more buzz than anything else I’ve ever done. I had no idea that it was going to turn into this phenomenon.”
