Naomi Watts made first move towards Liev Schreiber

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts went out of her comfort zone and was more “ballsy” to hit on her longtime boyfriend Liev Schreiber.

The Diana actress and her actor beau have been together since 2005, but if it wasn’t for Watts having the confidence to make the first move, the two may have never been an item.

In an interview with Allure magazine, Watts describes the first time they met, which was at the lavish Met Gala held every year in New York City.

She admits, “It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be. Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn’t. Then he got up to say he was leaving and I was like, ‘Oh s**t. Probably another couple years are going to pass by.'”

The Australian beauty decided to take matters into her own hands, adding, “I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out. I said, ‘Don’t you want my digits?’ Because I couldn’t possibly say, ‘Would you like my phone number?’

“It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, ‘Would you like to go for a drink now?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.'”

Watts and Schreiber have two sons together, Alexander, six, and Samuel, four.

Teresa Palmer shows off baby belly for magazine cover

Teresa Palmer

Pregnant actress Teresa Palmer has stripped off to flaunt her growing baby belly for a new magazine cover.

The Warm Bodies star, 27, has posed in her black bra and panties for Australia’s Who magazine for its The Body Issue, and in the accompanying interview, the blonde beauty admits she’s embracing her expanding figure after years of fussing over her weight and diet.

She says, “I was exercising so much, and I just wasn’t nourishing my body in the right way. I used to be incredibly militant about the food that I ate. I looked great on the outside, but I wasn’t healthy on the inside. To think that three years ago I was in this place where I was so skinny that I couldn’t have gotten pregnant if I tried.”

The mum-to-be became engaged to actor Mark Webber in August (13) and the couple announced its pregnancy days later.

Palmer isn’t the first star to pose for a photoshoot while pregnant – Demi Moore famously went nude for her revealing Vanity Fair cover in 1991, while Jessica Simpson bared all for Elle magazine as she carried her first child last year (12).

Will Smith In Talks For ‘Independence Day’ Sequel

Will Smith

Will Smith is reportedly considering starring in the “Independence Day” sequel. He played U.S. Marine Corps pilot Captain Steven Hiller in the 1996 sci-fi film.

Director Roland Emmerich told Digital Spy.com: “I sometimes say no, Will Smith will not be in it because he didn’t want to do it at first. Now we have a meeting planned, we want to talk about it again. Anything can happen.”

Emmerich wanted to cast some familiar faces from the original movie in the sequel, but prior to the release of Smith’s latest film “After Earth” Emmerich said the actor was “too expensive” to employ.

The director previously said: “Will Smith can not come back because he’s too expensive, but he’d also be too much of a marquee name.

“We have like maybe half of the people that you know would know from the first film (in the script) and the other half people who are new.”

Bill Pullman, who played President Thomas J. Whitmore, and Jeff Goldblum, who was computer expert David Levinson, are returning for the sequel.

“Independence Day” made $800 million worldwide in 1996. Smith’s “After Earth,” released in May 2013, made a disappointing $243 million internationally.

British Critics Ravage ‘Diana’; ‘Wesley Snipes In A Blonde Wig Would Be More Convincing’

Diana

The highly anticipated royal biopic Diana starring Naomi Watts has come under fire from movie critics in Britain, who have branded the motion picture “fabulously awful,” “tedious” and “cheap.”

The 44 year-old actress takes on the title role of Diana, Princess of Wales in the film, which premiered in the on Thursday night and portrays the late royal in the last years of her life before her death in a car crash in Paris, France in 1997.

Nonetheless, the movie has received a slew of scathing reviews from Britain’s critics in the aftermath of the premiere, with many questioning the movie’s historical accuracy and even slamming the story as a “soap opera” re-imagining of the princess’ life.

Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian gave Diana just one star out of a possible five and heavily criticized the film, writing, “Poor Princess Diana. I hesitate to use the term ‘car crash cinema’. But the awful truth is that, 16 years after that terrible day in 1997, she has died another awful death… The movie isn’t so much Mills & Boon as a horrendous Fifty Shades of Grey with the S&M sex taken out – and replaced with paparazzi intrusion and misunderstood charity work… The moment anyone, anyone at all, opens their mouth we are in TV-movie-land, soap-land.”

The Daily Telegraph‘s David Gritten concurs, singling out the movie’s references to the Paris car crash as a “redundant piece of lurid sensationalism,” adding of the film, “What’s the point of Diana? It’s hardly fascinating. It doesn’t offer new facts about the Princess’s life. And it certainly doesn’t explain her complexity or contradictions. That would take a different, better film altogether.”

David Edwards of the Daily Mirror adds, “Diana can only be described as a fabulously awful film. The Queen of Hearts has been recast as a sad-sack singleton that even Bridget Jones would cross the street to avoid… The film’s a cheap and cheerless effort… Director Oliver Hirschbiegel… should know better… Despite a peroxide hair-job, (Watts) looks, sounds and acts nothing like the Princess of Wales. Wesley Snipes in a blonde wig would be more convincing.”

Christopher Tookey of the Daily Mail also gave the film just one star out of five, branding it “tedious”, “slow” and “terribly, terribly dull”.

The film has also been criticized by the princess’ former lover Dr. Hasnat Khan, who is played by Lost star Naveen Andrews onscreen.

He insists the story is based on “hypotheses and gossip” and is “completely wrong.”
