The Olsen Twins aren’t new to the fragrance realm — they started launching scents in their teens.
But for the first time next year, the dynamic duo will be launching a fragrance catered to adults. Actually, they’ll be launching two of them!
Mary-Kate and Ashley recently revealed that they will be releasing Elizabeth and James Nirvana White and its opposing twin Nirvana Black exclusively at Sephora this coming January, and each will come in three sizes ranging from $22-$75.
According to the twins, the dueling scents have been several years in the making. Nirvana Black was only finished after a year and a half of development, and Nirvana White got the thumbs up after three months.
MKO explained what took so long:
“I’m more into oils, and that’s actually why it took so long [to develop the fragrance]. We didn’t want to just do another perfume. We wanted it to be able to sit on your skin like an oil, and to wear like an oil and to have that intimacy of how it becomes a part of you.”
They also delved into their inspiration for the juices, which were all their favorite body products:
“Body wash, face wash, oils-things we use every day kind of started to define what those ingredients were and what we were trying to draw out, at least for the first fragrance, the type of notes that we’re really attracted to.”
Ashley even opened up about their personal Nirvanas:
“For us, nirvana is when we’re in bed at home.”
How surprisingly relatable!!
So why two fragrances at once, besides the obvious twin excuse? Mary-Kate stated:
“Our brand is based on duality and this seemed the perfect way for us to explore that with a new customer at Sephora. We’ve been through this process in some ways before, but never to the extent of the process we ended up going through for this.”
We can’t WAIT to see what the fashionistas came up with after working on the scents for almost two full years!!
We’re sure it’ll be sophisticated an alluring, just like their label The Row!

We’ve always wondered how we could prolong the delicious smell of pizza long after every last slice had been eaten, and as it turns out, we don’t have to wonder anymore!
From the geniuses at Pizza Hut comes an idea to rival both the stuffed crust pizza and the breadstick : pizza-scented perfume!
And right on the heels of the bacon-scented shaving cream!
After Grip Limited, an advertising firm that works for the pizza-making company, asked fans on Facebook to come up with name for a then-hypothetical pizza fragrance, response was so positive that they decided to just go ahead and make the fragrance.
Because obviously rabid Facebook fans always have the best suggestions for a company!
However, in a move that hints there is still hope for mankind, Grip Limited will only make 100 bottles and distribute them to the first Facebook fans that commented.
According to Grip Limited’s managing director Adam Luck, the perfume will smell like “pizza dough with a little bit of seasoning added.”
