For Hugh Jackman, being a blockbuster, A-list actor often earns him a “meh” at the very least from his two kids. Even with The Wolverine set to open this weekend, he says they resist the urge to act like his biggest fans.
“They’re not going to give that up to me. They’re not going to be like, ‘Yeah Dad, you’re the coolest!'” Jackman told PEOPLE Wednesday at The MOMS’ Mamarazzi event in New York City.
“My son actually saw the movie, and I asked him what he thought, and he begrudgingly goes, ‘Oh, awesome.'”
His son Oscar, 13, is especially having trouble adapting to dad’s spotlight, Jackman says, having been frequently photographed with sister Ava, 8, over the years.
“He’s at that age where it can be embarrassing. He’s now like, ‘Can you please stop talking about me? This is killing my reputation,'” says Jackman. “He wants me to be his dad. He doesn’t like when we get stopped on the street or when people recognize me.”
But even though Jackman, 44, knows that doing more interviews will “get him in trouble,” he can’t help gushing about his children – like about what they want to be when they grow up.
Oscar’s going to be an artist, he says proudly, and Ava would be happy doing anything that involves “handling animals, cooking, singing and poetry.” They may not want to follow in dad’s footsteps as an actor, but that’s fine with him.
“That’s the great thing about parenting,” says Jackman, “You end up going places you never thought you’d go.”

With a name like Duke and parents who love the Colorado Rockies, the 10-month-old son of Bill and Giuliana Rancic is clearly a mountain man in the making.
The reality television stars made sure Duke spent his first Fourth of July at 8,000 feet at the base of the famed ski slopes of Vail, Colo., but he wasn’t exactly roughing it. The couple checked into a posh apartment in the Ritz-Carlton Residences, using it as a base camp for a number of high-alpine adventures.
“We’re a very active couple, Bill and I; we love to be outside,” Giuliana tells PEOPLE. “We love the sun and being out in nature, so we want Duke to grow up hopefully with that love of nature and being outdoors as well.”
Plopping 25-pound Duke in a baby backpack, the Rancics hiked Berry Picker Trail to the top of Vail Mountain (at more than 11,000 feet), lunched on pulled pork sandwiches (Duke had a bottle) and rode the Eagle Bahn Gondola back down to the Bavarian-style ski village.
The Rancics also planned a Jeep ride 15 miles up to Piney Ranch, where Bill used to vacation in the summers when he was young, riding horses, hiking and exploring Piney Lake.
“I started skiing when I was four, so [Duke’s] going to be skiing at a really early age,” Bill says. “I’m all about exposing him [to outdoor sports] at an early age. You’ve got to teach him at an early age and then they don’t have any fear. That was the best thing my parents did for me. I was river rafting in Colorado, skiing – we did it all.”
In Vail, the family did some more sedate things, like taking in the ski town’s annual Fourth of July Parade and strolling and biking the area’s numerous trails. They didn’t, however, break any news about a sibling for Duke.
“We’ve always said that we’d love to have another [child] and we’d love them to be close in age, but it’s a major commitment and we want to make sure that our lives, our schedule will allow us to be able to give our kids 110 percent,” Giuliana explains.
That said, the couple do maintain a relationship with the local woman who carried their first child for them after infertility, a miscarriage and cancer diagnosis left them at a loss.
“We do try to see her whenever we come into town,” Bill says of the gestational carrier, who was traveling out of town herself this trip. “We come [here] quite often because Giuliana’s cancer doctor is in Denver and so we have to go for checkups on a regular basis.”
Giuliana and Bill premieres July 16 at 8 p.m. on Style.

Alyssa Milano, who grew up before America’s eyes, is still getting used to the leaps and bounds her 22-month old son Milo Thomas is making.
“He’s been here [in New York] with me for the last seven weeks since I’m hosting Project Runway All Stars and the difference is amazing,” Milano, 40, told PEOPLE at the MLB.com and Nivea Men’s All Star Bash on Sunday.
“I brought a baby and I’m going home with a little boy. It’s so crazy! He’s gotten so big,” she adds. “I take it day by day and enjoy all of my time with him. I’m blessed to have the kind of job that he can be with me every day. But it’s still freaking exhausting!”
Though the actress – who is a longtime Dodgers season ticket holder and designer of a women’s MLB apparel line – clearly is an advocate for the nation’s pastime, she’s not putting pressure on her son to find his way to a baseball diamond.
“He seems to be gravitating the most towards basketball,” she shares, adding proudly, “He’s really good. He gets it in the basket and everything! Whatever he decides to do, I’m totally all for it.”
As for her steamy work on ABC’s Mistresses, Milano’s character Savi Davis will find herself in even more hot water as the season progresses. After having an affair with her coworker, she finds out that she’s pregnant and finally confesses her indiscretion (but not the baby news!) to her husband. It’s only going to go downhill from there.
“She has a pretty big cliffhanger at the end of the season,” says Milano. “It gets progressively worse for her. It’s from all sides – her mom comes into town. Everything that could possibly go wrong, goes wrong.”

Nine months after their birth, Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin have finally revealed their twins’ names. The True Blood stars’ son is called Charlie, while their daughter is Poppy, their rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Moyer let the names slip in an interview at the True Blood season six premiere Tuesday evening, E! News was first to report. Explaining that elder daughter Lilac was headed off to camp over Father’s Day weekend, Moyer said that he and Paquin, 30, planned to celebrate the special day “hanging out with Charlie and Poppy.”
Speaking to PEOPLE earlier in the week, Moyer, 43, said that he and his wife were keeping their twins out of the spotlight for a reason.
“They came much earlier than we were expecting. They were so fragile in the beginning. We are just trying to protect them,” he tells PEOPLE.
“[We’re] trying to give them as much of a normal upbringing as you can in this town. They didn’t choose to be actors – not yet! Who knows what they’ll be? It’s just a question of wanting to keep that private for them so they can choose.”
Moyer and Paquin, a best supporting actress Academy Award winner in 1994, were married in a sunset Malibu ceremony in August 2010 after he proposed on a Hawaiian beach the year prior.
True Blood returns to HBO on Sunday, June 16.

At 30, Camila Alves McConaughey is not in denial about her changing body.
“I am definitely way curvier,” the model turned handbag designer tells PEOPLE. “My waist used to be tiny. I just saw a picture of Miley Cyrus with a little crop top and low pants and I’m like that was me growing up in Brazil!”
But now as the mom to Levi, 5, Vida, 3 , and Livingston, 8 months, McConaughey shares how her body has changed – and what her husband Matthew McConaughey thinks of her figure! – in PEOPLE’s new special issue, Gorgeous At Any Age.
When she first started dating the Dallas Buyers Club star, “I had the typical model body,” she says. “But after babies it changed. I look more like a woman. Even Matthew has seen that change in me and he’s completely okay with it. It’s evolution.”
And she doesn’t plan on fighting the aging process any time soon. “The mistake that women make these days is trying to chase their youth,” says McConaughey. “In my 20s I wanted to be hot, now I want to be healthy.”
Besides, the busy mom – who appears on QVC Friday to launch the latest collection for her line Muxo – has plenty of other things to worry about. “I’m dedicated to my family, my husband, my kids. I have a business and I want to help others when I can. So that’s where I’m standing right now.”

Sasha Alexander is soaking up the sibling bond between her two children.
“It’s really fun to watch the kids interact and fight and just provoke each other,” the Rizzoli & Isles star tells PEOPLE. “There’s a whole dynamic there that I’m sort of glad I didn’t have – but it’s really fun to watch as a parent!”
In an effort to keep the peace between her kids – Lucia Sofia, 7, and Leonardo Fortunato, 2 – the actress is enforcing a new household rule that she hopes will deter her daughter from pushing her baby brother’s buttons.
“Lucia can be very nurturing to him, she’s a very loving and kind little girl … She can also know how to prod him exactly the way that would make him cry the whole ride home,” Alexander, 40, explains.
“My whole thing now is, okay, if you’re going to do that to him, then you’re going to take care of him for the rest of the day. Like, if you’re going to make him cry, then you’re going to take care of him.”
As the daughter of an actress, Lucia has quickly learned the secrets behind the big screen – and seems to have no problems with recognizing a little movie magic.
“I viewed E.T. for her the other day, which was a huge deal for me because it was such an impact on my life. I was really excited about it and it got to the part where E.T is going to die and I’m crying,” Alexander says.
“My daughter looks at me and she goes, ‘Mommy, did they paint him white?’ [I said,] ‘Did who paint him white?’ She said, ‘The movie people.’ I couldn’t believe [it]!”
As for Leonardo, his latest milestones have left Alexander and her husband Edoardo Ponti with a constant case of the giggles, as they teach their son the importance of pronunciation.
“The big thing is he likes cars and trucks, but he can’t say ‘t’ … that’s kind of the whole joke in the house right now. He likes cars and f–,” the actress says with laugh. “We’re practicing … ‘No Leonardo, it’s t-t-t-truck’ and he just … he can’t say it.”

Like many mothers, Christina Applegate can’t decide if she wants to have more kids.
“I’m 41 years old and I don’t know if I could do the whole not sleeping thing again,” the Anchorman 2 star said Thursday on Access Hollywood Live. “If I was 35, then maybe I’d have the energy.”
Although daughter Sadie Grace, 2 , isn’t an only child (husband Martyn LeNoble has a 16-year-old daughter, Marlon, from a previous relationship), Applegate is unsure about giving her a little brother or sister.
“When I get up it hurts,” she jokes. “Some people can do it and I say, ‘Hats off to you.'”
Still Applegate admits that she may change her mind, adding, “That’s just how I feel right now.”
The actress says LeNoble, 44, would like a larger family, but he is equally concerned about having enough energy for another child.
“I think we both want to make another Sadie,” Applegate explains. “We watch this little person and she’s so perfect and she enhances our life so much that you go, ‘God – how could we not produce more of these?'”
“We’re both kind of like, ‘Eh, we’re a little old’ – we don’t know,” she says.
