Mumford & Sons debuted the music video for their new single “Hopeless Wanderer” on Sunday, which normally wouldn’t be exciting news for anyone with a set of ears or eyes.
Except this video doesn’t star Mumford & Sons at all. Instead, the Grammy-winning band somehow, someway enlisted the comedy styles of Jason Sudekis, Ed Helms, Jason Bateman and Will Forte do to the lip-synching and banjo-playing and J. Crew-wearing for them.
The result is a cross between a Saturday Night Live digital short and lost audition tapes for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. It’s sort of funny, once you look past the fact that it was still made by Mumford & Sons.
The new season of Million Dollar Listing: LA starts tonight, but before you watch all the drama play out on your TV, make sure you watch my interview with the show’s stars Madison Hildebrand, Josh Flagg and Josh Altman. They tell me the drama this season is bigger than ever as are the homes they’re selling. And on a personal note, this season continues to follow the romance between Josh and Heather Bilyeu heating up as they ultimately get engaged.
Madison, Josh and Josh schooled this New Yorker on the hottest Los Angeles neighborhoods. Plus, they told me about the big mansions and big tension you can expect on season six. You can catch the season six premiere of Million Dollar Listing: LA on Bravo tonight at 9:00 ET.
Hail to the (future) king!
The world got its first glimpse of William and Kate‘s newborn baby boy Tuesday on the steps of St. Mary’s hospital in London. The day-old prince, swaddled in a blanket, already looked to be waving to the crowd.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not reveal the baby’s name – preferring to wait, much as William’s parents, Charles and Diana, did 31 years ago in delaying the revelation of his name for several days.
“We are still working on a name, so we will have that as soon as we can,” William told reporters gathered outside the hospital.
Stepping out of the hospital to cheers, Kate wore a bespoke cornflower blue crepe-de-chine dress by British designer, Jenny Packham, while her husband William wore a matching blue button-down shirt.
Pausing to answer questions from the crowd, William said of his new son, “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure. He’s a big boy – he’s quite heavy.”
He added, when the question came up, “He has got her looks, thankfully.”
“It’s very emotional,” Kate said of the experience. “It’s a moment that any parent having just given birth will know what this feeling feels like.”
“It’s very special,” added William as he held their newborn, wrapped in an aden + anais muslin swaddle topped with a lightweight blanket.
The new father also said to the gathered press: “I will remind him of his tardiness when he’s a bit older because I know how long you have all been sat out here, so hopefully the hospital and all you guys can go back to normal now and we can look after him.”
As for the baby’s hair, “He has way more than me, thank God,” said his father.
Regarding the changing of the diaper: “He’s done his first nappy,” Kate said of the proud dad.
Royal sources confirm William practiced putting in the Britax Baby Safe car seat and driving away in the run-up to his smooth performance Tuesday.
In a statement from the Palace, the young couple continued to thank the hospital staff – just as they did earlier that day.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge will be discharged this evening from St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son will travel home to Kensington Palace. Their Royal Highnesses would like to reiterate their thanks to the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received.”

Remember when Jay Z spent six hours at the Pace Gallery in New York City earlier this month?
You know, that time he lip-synched to “Picasso Baby” in front of museum goers and invited the likes of Judd Apatow, Alan Cumming and the great Marina Abramovic?
Well, we now have a better idea of the finished product, all in the name of performance art.
On Friday, HBO released a 31-second preview of Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film, set to premiere on Aug. 2 at 11 p.m., appropriately following Jay Z’s appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher.
“Rap is painting out loud,” Hova says in the preview voiceover. “And you’re putting your fears and vulnerabilities and insecurities to music… concerts are pretty much performance art.”
It’s finally happening.
After weeks of speculation, Kim Kardashian has made her first TV appearance – albeit disappointingly via satellite video – since giving birth to her daughter, North West.
On Friday’s episode of Kris, the new mom surprised Kris Jenner with a heartfelt message.
“Hi, Mom! I just wanted to say hi,” Kardashian said. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there … I’m loving life a little bit too much right now.”
“I watch you every single day,” she continued. “You are so amazing. You really are born to do this. I just wanted to say I love you, and have an amazing show.”
Needless to say, the little cameo made the famous mom-ager a little teary-eyed.
Some combinations feel simply inevitable. Peanut butter and jelly. Oreos and milk. Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill. Scratch that last one. Finally College Humor has put Aubrey Plaza and Daria Morgendorffer together.
In this (sadly, fake) trailer for a live-action Daria movie, Daria returns to Lawndale for her high school reunion. From the hair, to the glasses, to the green jacket, to the bubbling personality, Aubrey Plaza nails Daria. She was born to play this role.
Who do I need to call to get this movie made? Is there a President of Movies? This is what we should be using Kickstarter for.
